My Journey Toward the Private Jet Lifestyle

My interest in private jets began with curiosity, research, and a lifelong passion for travel, which actually started with my 7th-grade geography teacher who taught me to appreciate this amazingly wonderful world we live in.

As I learned more about private aviation, I figured, what the heck—why not travel the world in style?

But the more I researched, the more I realized just how complicated the private jet industry can seem, particularly to someone approaching it for the first time. Aircraft choices vary enormously. Pricing isn’t always straightforward. Charter providers can perform very different roles. Empty legs can present deep discount opportunities and limitations simultaneously. Also, two flight options that initially appear similar on the surface may be quite different once you examine what’s actually included.

Rather than relying on marketing hype or pretending to have experiences I haven’t had yet, I’ve decided to build BPJF around careful research, practical information, and straightforward explanations that I can share with you and anyone else who’s interested in experiencing the private jet lifestyle.

Professional Background – Tying It All Together

Professionally, I’ve spent many years working in commercial real estate finance, helping structure complex transactions involving properties and projects throughout the United States and internationally.

That work has taught me the importance of asking relevant questions, performing thorough due diligence, evaluating information carefully, comparing alternatives, and making decisions based on facts rather than assumptions.

My appreciation of travel also comes from personal experience. I spent approximately ten years living and working in Nagoya, Japan, where I met my wife. Together, we’ve been blessed with a wonderful family. As a family, we speak, read, and write Japanese fluently, and we’ve enjoyed traveling throughout Japan, the United States, and other worldwide destinations.

Those experiences have helped me realize that truly meaningful travel is actually about the people you’re traveling with, those you meet along the way, and the memories you create during every leg of your journey.
